FedEx Express has appointed Paul Evans Vice President, Operations, Middle East, Africa and parts of the Indian sub-continent.
In this function, Evans will be responsible for increasing the pace of growing FedEx networks and service range across the region, as well as maximising the potential for increasing import and export volumes from many of its key emerging markets.
Prior to this appointment, Evans occupied the role of Vice President Integration, following FedEx acquisitions of companies in the UK, India and Hungary. Together with his integration team, he focused on revenue, cost and customer experience synergy opportunities presented by the acquisitions. In addition to his integration responsibilities, he also led the development of FedEx Supply Chain Services in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
“Since joining FedEx, Paul has demonstrated his commitment to the company’s vision and its core values,” says Hamdi Osman, Senior Vice President, FedEx Express Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa. “He brings invaluable experience and skills to the region through his many years with FedEx and is an asset to the team.”
Evans began his career at FedEx in 1987 as a Marketing Manager for the UK and Ireland. He subsequently occupied various management positions in Europe before being promoted to Vice President, Marketing and Customer Service for the EMEA
