Hala and KBR Wireless join hands

Hala Supply Chain Services (Hala SCS) has announced the expansion of its Mobile Technology Solutions Business Unit with the signing of a distribution agreement with Texas based KBR Wireless Inc. The Saudi Arabian supply chain and logistics service provider will be the sole marketer and distributor of KBR’s Mobile Technology Solutions for the oil and gas industry in the region.

KBR Wireless is the commercial arm of the Oil & Gas RFID Solution Group (OGR), recognised for its work with industry experts, academic researchers and technology service providers to identify, define, develop and implement innovative solutions for the exploration, production, drilling, refining, petrochemical processing and field product manufacturing in the oil, gas, and petrochemical markets.

“Hala SCS was acknowledged as one of the best suppliers of RFID technology in the Kingdom, due to our achievements with this technology when implementing Saudi Post’s new postal system. We felt that teaming up with KBR Wireless was a logical step in deepening our expertise in this field and extending our service offering to the oil and gas industries,” says Husam Al Saleh, CEO of Hala.

The new technology will provide clients in the oil and gas industry with just-in-time asset and inventory tracking in the distribution yard; improve the efficiencies of deliveries on site; ensure the proper management of assets through efficient product inspection and the validation and/or tallying of drill pipes at the rig.
