KTS appoints new Managers

Shipping and logistics company Kuwait Transcontinental Shipping Co. (KTS) has made two new appointments to drive its fast growing logistics and shipping business in Kuwait.

Prasanna Deosthalee has been promoted to Business Development Manager – Sea Freight and Liner. He will be responsible for growing new and existing business, particularly KTS’s Sea Freight and Liner services, in both local and overseas market. Prasanna will also focus on maintaining close contact with the agency network to support their needs in the highly competitive market. An industry veteran, Prasanna brings to the position over two decades of experience in the maritime industry and strong international network. He reports to Micael Pihlblad, Shipping Manager.

Replacing Prasanna as Logistics Sales Manager is Darshana De Silva. Backed by 19 years of experience in the freight forwarding business, Darshana immediate priorities will be to guide and lead the logistics team to ensure that set targets are met. He reports directly to Logistics Manager, Kamal Boyagama.

“With Darshana’s experience and knowledge in freight forwarding and supply chain management, he will bring our expanding logistics business in Kuwait to the next level,” says Boyagama.
